Christine “Chris” Potts
I was born and raised in Billings MT, and grew up on a small ranch south of town. This ranch was homesteaded in the late 1800’s by my great grandfather. I was raised on a horse and competed in rodeos, pageants, and Quarter Horse shows until my early 20’s. I then got married and started to raise my own family.
My work career started in the Real Estate Appraisal business, with my mother, from 1985 through 1993. I then served on the local appraisal board as the secretary and president. I then took some time off for the most important job of all, being a stay at home mom raising my 3 children. When the youngest started school I then went back to earning a paycheck again. I got my introduction in the freight industry in 2001 as a freight broker with Meadow Lark Agency until 2003. From there I worked for Hi-Ball trucking where got an extensive education about heavy haul transportation. In 2011 I took a job with Valley Express in Billings Mt, and was fortunate enough to later open the branch office in Grayson Ky, to be closer to the grandchildren.
I take great pride in my job and I believe the drivers I dispatch are some of the best to work with.
I was fortunate enough to be included into the organization of the US Transportation Alliance as secretary, and will continue to educate myself on the issues that are at the forefront of the trucking industry, and help in any way I can.
