United States Transportation Alliance - Co-Founder
I grew up in the small town of Madison, SD, and I was raised in a farming community, and have been around the trucking industry all of my life. I currently live in Harrisburg, SD with my wife and two children. I continue to balance home life with my passion for the trucking industry.
After high school, I attended Lake Area Technical Institute studying Agri-Business. It was at this time I obtained my CDL. I then worked six years for Domestic Seed and Supply/Mustang Seeds in Madison, SD. During this time, I started to drive truck hauling fertilizer and chemicals. While with the same company I transitioned into hauling grain for the elevator and seed division.
In my need to expand, my trucking career started in 2002, when I became an Over the Road driver pulling a reefer unit for a local company. In 2006, I decided to become an Owner Operator. I continued to pull a reefer until 2010, when at that time I started to pull a flatbed. Since beginning my career in the flatbed industry, I have hauled many kinds of freight, big or small. This has also led to my love of hauling Honey Bees, across the country. By doing this, it has given me as well as earned me, great respect among my peers within the live animal/insect industry. My quality care for the live cargo loads I transport is known within the industry. I have over 2 million miles and counting, with no violations. With my knowledge of hauling time sensitive freight, whether it be in a reefer or live animals, it has fueled my passion to step up and fight the over regulations in the trucking industry. This has led us to today where not only do I still drive my truck on a daily basis, but I love and enjoy my family, as I serve the role of President in the United States Transportation Alliance.
